Explore the wonders of Indiana by traveling through its special alphabet. From the “musical” dunes along Lake Michigan to the Grissom Air Museum in Peru, from the natives who gave the state its name to Hoosier Poet James Whitcomb Riley, H is for Hoosier gives readers of all ages a chance to learn fascinating facts about their state through poems and explanatory text.

Indiana sits right over the border from my home state of Michigan, and the minute I cross that state line, I take a deep breath and relax. I love the gently rolling farmlands, the exciting capital, and most especially the people of this special state. I had worked with gifted artist Bruce Langton previously, and we welcomed the chance to create this book together. This was the second of four collaborations we have enjoyed.
